I was so happy to find the other half of my OTP in an RP Community and that’s why I joined it in the first place. I’ve been trying to message him and create posts about my character meeting him so they can start a story together but it seems like I’m being completely ignored T-T. It upsets me since it’s the first time I ever attempt to roleplay on Tumblr and I really, really want to make my OTP ‘real’ :(.

Aw. I can see this from the OP’s perspective and from the flipside, honestly. But I’ve been in games where I felt flat-out ignored by everyone and then others where I felt every player shipped their particular character with mine and pulled in a million different directions (fuck you, Jack Harkness).
I could definitely see where, with first time role players, player communication in an established game could be intimidating, too. It’s easy to be put off and even easier to feel ignored, in those cases. :\
